Downloading assets

To work with an asset locally, you can download the current version or an older version. For example, if you need to make changes to an asset, download the current version and make changes in an application that supports the asset file type.

1. Open the asset.

2. Click the asset version number before the asset filename to display the list of asset versions.

   In the list, each asset version has the date and time the version changed, the user who made the change, and a Download button . Asset versions marked as Deleted cannot be viewed or downloaded.

   A checkmark indicates the asset version you are viewing.

3. Click the Download button next to the version in the list. You may be prompted to select a location for the downloaded asset..

   The file is downloaded and you can work with it locally. To upload changes to the asset to share with others, see Updating assets in collections.

   Tip

   When working with assets, you may be prompted to download an asset if a preview is not available or if the file is too large to display.
