Manage company project settings

Company administrators can manage your project creation permissions and how P4 DAM assets are stored in P4 Server.

Configure who can create P4 DAM projects

You can specify if any P4 DAM user can create projects in P4 DAM or you can limit project creation to company administrators only.

1. Click your avatar and click Company details.

   The Company details pane opens.

2. Click Settings.

   The Settings pane opens.

3. Do one of the following:

   • Toggle Only allow company administrators to create projects on to limit project creation to company administrators only.

   • Toggle Only allow company administrators to create projects off to allow company administrators and all users to create new projects in P4 DAM.

   Giving a user permission to create a project does not give them permission to create a collection within that project. See Create a collection.

Configure how depots are created in P4 DAM projects

Configures how P4 DAM assets are stored in P4 Server. To learn more, see Choose how to store P4 DAM assets in P4.

1. Click your avatar and click Company details.

   The Company details pane opens.

2. Click Settings.

   The Settings pane opens.

3. Do one of the following:

   • To automatically create depots for projects, toggle Automatically create depot on. This is the default setting.

   • To stop users from automatically creating depots for projects, toggle Automatically create depot off.
