Use P4 DAM with Autodesk Maya

Log in with your P4 DAM credentials and start managing your assets with Maya.

1. Open P4 Sync.

2. Open Maya and click Helix Maya > Panel from the menu.

3. When prompted, click Continue.

4. Enter the P4 DAM URL, your username, and password.

   If you forget the P4 DAM URL or your credentials, contact your P4 DAM administrator.

5. Click Log in.

   The window shows your projects.

   If P4 Sync is not running, a warning is displayed. Open P4 Sync and click Check if Helix Sync is active again to continue.

6. Select a project to work with.

   The collections in the project are shown.

7. Select an asset in the collection to work with.

   Maya files (.mb files) open in Maya for editing.

   You can only have one file open in Maya. If you open a second file, click Save, Don't Save, or Cancel to continue.

8. Make changes to the asset.

9. Upload your updated files to P4 DAM so other users have access to your changes.
