Archived assets

When assets or versions of assets are no longer needed, they can be archived to free up space in Helix Core Server. Assets are not archived in Helix DAM. They are archived by a Helix Core Server administrator using the Helix Core Command-Line Client. To learn more, see p4 archive in the Helix Core Command-Line (P4) Reference.

When an asset is archived, in Helix DAM, the asset is marked as Archived in the Version list and you cannot perform any actions on it.

If you add a new version of the archived asset to the collection or folder the archived asset is in, the new version of the asset is marked as Added in the Version list and you can perform actions on it.
