Add a static link

You can add a static link to an asset to help support your team's workflow and share important information with them. For example, if you use an application to create wireframes, you can add a link to the asset that goes to the related wireframe.

1. Open the asset.

2. Click Links.

3. Click Add link.

4. In the Add link dialog box, select Other as the Type.

5. Enter the link URL.

6. Optional: Enter Display text for the link. If you do not enter text, the URL you entered is used as the display text.

   If you enter a Jira work item URL, the work item number is automatically added as the display text. If P4 DAM is configured to integrate with Jira, you are prompted to change the link Type to a Jira instance. The advantage of changing the Type to Jira is the link displays detailed information about the Jira work item in P4 DAM. See Add a Jira link.

7. Click Add.

   The link is added. If P4 DAM detects the source of the link, an icon for the application is displayed next to the link. Click the link to open it in a new browser tab.
