Helix Core Cloud is now P4 Cloud

Perforce has a new look and logo that reflects our place in DevOps workflows. As part of these changes, Helix Core Cloud is now P4 Cloud, highlighting its integration with P4 (formerly Helix Core) and its availability as part of the P4 Platform. To learn more, see Re-Introducing P4.

Find product information with the new AI-powered search

On the main page of the P4 documentation site, you can now enter a question to get an AI-generated answer. Optionally, you can filter your search by product. Answers combine content from the current version of the product documentation and the Perforce knowledge base. This new search experience helps you locate information more efficiently.

  • The p4 hotfiles command is now supported.

  • Upgraded to P4 Server (P4D) 2024.2.

  • Updated P4 Code Review to version 2024.5 patch 1.
  • The p4 obliterate command is now supported.

December 2024

  • P4 Code Review is now available as a free add-on. You must have at least three active users in your subscription to add P4 Code Review.

  • P4 Code Review server status and access information are displayed on the Server Details page in the portal.

  • P4 Code Review egress usage is displayed separately from the P4 Server usage on the Metrics page in the portal.

August 2024

  • Upgraded to P4 Server (P4D) 2024.1. Sparse streams are now available.

  • Manage a limited set of server configurables with the p4 configure set command in the command-line client (P4). When P4 Admin 2024.3 is released in September 2024, you can also use the configurables user interface.

  • Delete streams without contacting Perforce Support. Use the P4 Visual Client (P4V) (P4V) or the p4 prune and --obliterate flag on the p4 streams commands in command-line client (P4).
