Starting the analyze utility

Administrative users can use the Surround SCM Analyze Utility to analyze and repair database issues.

Windows

Choose All Programs > Perforce > Surround SCM > Surround SCM Analyze Utility on the Start menu.

Linux

Enter /var/lib/SurroundSCM/sscmanalyzeutil.

After the utility starts, you must connect to a database to analyze.

• If the database is in use as a Surround SCM Server database or hosts active mainline branches, see Connecting to databases in use.
• If the database is not currently in use, see Connecting to databases not in use.
