Editing folder details
Edit the folder details to rename the folder or change the description, access setting, folder type, or the folder it is in. You may also be able to change the task board for the folder, release planning information, and folder permissions.
1. Select the folder in the Folders list and then click the Details tab.
2. Click Edit.
3. Enter or select the following information in the Details area. The Number field is read-only.
Field | Description |

Name | Folder name. You can enter up to 127 characters. The name cannot include a slash (/). |
Type | Folder type. This field is read-only if the folders is a test case or manual test run suite that is a subfolder in another test case or manual test run suite. |
Task board | Task board to display for the folder. See Using task boards. The default task board for the folder type is selected by default. Select <not set> if you do not want to make a task board available for the folder. This field is not displayed if task boards are not enabled for the folder type. |
Access | Sharing access for parent folders created in the root Public folder. Public folders can be accessed by other users. Shared with security groups folders are only shared with users in the selected groups. This field is not displayed for Private folders. This field is read-only for subfolders because the access is inherited from the parent folder. |
Description | Folder description. You can enter up to 255 characters. |
Path | Path to the folder. Click Move Folder to select a different folder. See Moving folders. |
URL | Default web page related to the folder. For example, you may want to include a link to a wiki that provides additional project information. You can enter up to 2048 characters. Click Open to open the web page in a new browser window or tab. This field is not displayed if web view is not enabled for the folder type. |
Notes | Additional information about the folder. For example, you may want to provide links to additional project resources or general notes about the project. Use the formatting toolbar to apply formatting and add images and tables. See Working with text fields. |
4. Enter or select additional information in the following areas. Click to expand all areas or to collapse all expanded areas.

Baselines | Work with baselines the folder is in. You can view the folder as it was when added to the baseline, view differences between the current folder and folder in the baseline, and view differences between the folder in two baselines. | Working with baselines from items |
5. Click Save to save the changes.
If you change the access to no longer share the folder with security groups you are in, you are prompted to save the folder without sharing it with your group. Click Save to save the folder.
