Capturing screens to attach to manual test run steps

You can capture a screenshot directly from a manual test run step without leaving Helix ALM. You can edit screen captures before attaching them to highlight important information.

Screen capture is only available when working with manual test runs in detail grid view.

Note:  Make sure you are using a browser that supports screen capture in Helix ALM. See the list of supported browsers.

1. Click the Steps tab when you are editing a manual test run in detail grid view.

2. Click the step to attach the screen capture to.

3. Click Capture Screen. If you clicked Attach to attach a file, click Capture Screen in the Add Attachment dialog box.

You are prompted by the browser to share your screen. See the browser help for information about sharing your screen with other applications.

4. Give the browser permission to access the screen to capture.
