Install and configure the Perforce ALM for Jira app
Before users can work with Perforce ALM items in Jira, the administrator must configure the Perforce ALM for Jira app. The steps to install and configure the app depend on if you are using Jira Cloud or Jira Data Center.

Jira Cloud

If you do not already use the app with Jira Cloud, install and configure it. Follow the instructions in Install and configure the Perforce ALM for Jira app for Jira Cloud.

If you currently use version 1 or 2 the app with Jira Cloud, these legacy versions will reach end of support by Atlassian in 2026. You can continue to use these versions until Atlassian ends support or update the app to use the current version, which is version 3 or later. To upgrade to the current version, follow the instructions in Update the Perforce ALM for Jira app for Jira Cloud. Jira Data Center
- If you do not already use the app with Jira Data Center, install and configure it. Follow the instructions in Install and configure the Perforce ALM for Jira app.
- If you already use the app with Jira Data Center, continue using it. No upgrade is required.
