Searching Users and Customers lists

If a Helix ALM project has a large number of users or customers, you can search for a specific user or customer to edit or view instead of manually locating them in the list. You can search all user fields for a value or perform an advanced search based on specific fields, such as Company, Division, and Department.

Tip:  You can also enter a value to search for in the Search field to narrow the number of users or customers in the list. Only columns displayed in the list are searched. Click the Clear Search button to clear the search results.

1. Click the Search button in the Users or Customers list.

The Find dialog box opens.

2. Enter a value to search for in the Search field. The search is not case sensitive.

The following fields are searched: Last name, First name, Middle initial, Company, Division, Department, Security groups, and Address.

3. Expand the Advanced options to search for values in specific fields.

Note:  If the Search field contains a value, it is used in combination with the advanced search criteria when the search is performed.

4. Click Search.

The search results are displayed. Click Clear to clear the search criteria and results.

5. Select the users or customers to view in the search results and click Add.

To remove selected users or customers, select them and click Remove.

6. Click View.

The Viewing page opens. See Viewing users and customers.
