Deleting field layouts

If a field layout is no longer needed, you can delete it. You cannot delete the <Default> layout for each item type. To edit a <Default> layout, see Editing field layouts.

To delete a field group in a layout, see Deleting field groups in a field layout.

1.Choose Tools > Administration > Field Layouts.

The Field Layouts dialog box opens.

2. Select an Item type.

3. Select the layout to delete.

4. Click Delete.

You are prompted to confirm the deletion. No undo is available.

5. Click Delete.

The layout is deleted.
