Inserting diagrams in text fields

You can create and insert diagrams in multi-line text fields. For example, you may want to add flowcharts, network diagrams, or simple mockups to requirements.

Keep the following in mind:

• When exporting to Microsoft Word, diagrams are exported with other multi-line field contents as images.
• When viewing requirement document snapshots, the diagram is displayed as it was when the snapshot was created. You cannot edit diagrams in snapshots.

1. Move the cursor to the location in the field where you want to insert the diagram.

2. Click on the formatting toolbar.

The Edit Diagram dialog box opens.

3. Create the diagram.

• Click a shape or drag it to the canvas to add it.
• Use the menus at the top or the Diagram pane on the right side of the dialog box for formatting, viewing, and other options.

4. Click Apply.

The diagram is inserted in the field.
