Viewing Git, GitHub, and Team Foundation Server files attached to items
If you use Git, GitHub, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, or another source control provider not officially supported by Helix ALM, you can attach source files to Helix ALM items when pushing changes to the source control server. See Attaching Git, GitHub, and Team Foundation Server files to items. You can view source files when you are viewing or editing an item.
- Issues—Click the Source Files tab.
- Requirements and documents—Click the Files tab and then click Source Files.
- Test cases and manual test runs—Click the Files tab and then click the Source Files tab.
Note: If the item was locked by another user when source files were attached to it, a message indicating pending attachments will be added when the item is saved is displayed. View the item after it is saved to see the attached files and commit message or check in comment.
To view additional information about the files, click a file path. The file, commit, or changeset opens in the associated source control viewer. Links are only included with source file information if they are configured for the provider.
