Every dashboard chart and item view has an owner. To edit the chart or item view settings, you must own it. If the owner gave you permission to view and edit a dashboard page that the chart or item view is on, you can transfer ownership to yourself so you can edit it. See Sharing dashboard pages for viewing and editing for information about dashboard page permissions.
1. Click Dashboards.
The Dashboards area opens.
2. Click the tab for the page that contains the chart or item view.
3. Mouse over the chart or item view, click 
, and select Transfer ownership to me.
You can now edit the chart or item view.
