Initializing and Running a View Server

In Overview, we said that a Server application that uses dynamic views can be linked or distributed and that the difference between these two modes lies in the initialization process. This section is therefore divided as follows:

• Linked Applications shows how to initialize the process for a linked application;

• Distributed View Server explains initialization in the general case of a distributed Server application that involves several application components and a communication layer.

• Initializing and Running a Dynamic Server explains how to initialize the dynamic view server when your Server application includes a dynamic object model.
