User’s Manual
Since Rogue Wave Server 5.0, static views are no longer documented.
Chapter 1 - Basic Features
Section Timers has been added at the end of the chapter.
Chapter 5 - Dynamic Modeling Services
The following sections have been added:
*Subsection Sorted Relations in Dynamic Member Functions. A remark has been added just before this new section.
*Section Check Functions and Updating the Dynamic Model at Runtime after Extending Dynamic Objects.
The following sections have been modified.
*Section Using an XMI Description in Defining a Dynamic Model.
*Identified Objects in How to Use Dynamic Objects.
*The check attribute property has been added in Table 5.4.
*The check role property and the sortedList implementation type of the role property have been added in Table 5.6.
Chapter 6 - Rogue Wave Views Script Integration
The following sections have been modified.
*Section Accessing Server Objects from Scripts.
*Section Rogue Wave Server API Available to Scripts.
*An important remark about overloading functions in Script integration has been added in section Implementing Dynamic Methods using Scripts.
Chapter 7 - Views and View Services
A section title Dynamic Views versus Static Views has been added in section Concept and Definitions/Views (about deprecation of static views).
Chapter 10 - Specifying Dynamic View Types
The following sections have been added:
*Section Current Time Management at the end of Basic Specification.
*Section XML support for Dynamic View Specification at the end of the chapter.
*Section Predefined User Types at the end of Initializing a Dynamic View Server.
Section Complex Expressions has been updated to reflect the changes in the ILS language.
Chapter 11 - Implementing a Dynamic View Server and its Components
*Section Connection Control has been added in Connecting Components and Opening Views.
*Section Loading View Specification Files has been modified.
A new view server initialization option (-ilsthread sender) is documented in section Multithread Mode/Sending Requests in Multithread Mode/Dynamic View Server.
Part V - Java Data Sources
Each chapter in this part has been augmented to document three new data sources:
*List data sources (Swing)
*Gantt data sources (Rogue Wave JViews)
*SDM data sources (Rogue Wave JViews)
Moreover, Chapter 18, formerly titled Java Data Sources: Mapping, has been divided to have the API of the mapping appear in a separate chapter, so that Part V is now made up of:
*Chapter 17, Overview of the Java Data Sources
*Chapter 18 API of the Server/Java Mapping,
*Chapter 19 Working with the Server/java Mapping
*Chapter 20 Java Data Source Adapters
Appendix E - MvTcp
A new option for tcpd is documented in section Using the Rogue Wave Server Logical Mapper.
