A table object column can be set as read-only. This means that the values in the column can only be consulted and not modified. If you set up a column as being read-only in the data source inspector, this will apply to any connected table gadget or form that is subsequently created with the Forms Assistant. However, in the DbField that make up the form, the read-only property of a column can be changed locally.
