The class IlvNamedProperty is used to associate application-dependent information with Rogue Wave® Views objects. This information, called a named property, is stored in a subclass of IlvNamedProperty that you define. Unlike a user property, a named property is copied with your object and made persistent so that its content is preserved when data files are saved or read.
