What is a View?
Your initial efforts when you write a Rogue Wave® Views program will be focused on creating and combining views where people can display and possibly interact with your program.
A view is a visual place holder—a rectangular area on your screen—where elements of your Rogue Wave Views application are displayed.
Figure 1.2    A View
Each view is distinguished by its:
*location (x,y coordinates that you define),
*size (height and width that you define),
*visibility (a view might be present but not visible).
You create visible elements of your Rogue Wave Views application by combining views and their contents.
