Notification Functions
A view includes a set of internal functions, called notification functions, which are triggered by Rogue Wave® Server during the notification cycle. They reflect the internal state of a viewed object within the scope of a view.
More specifically, the notification functions are triggered by Rogue Wave Server each time the notification state of a subscribed object changes. These functions are responsible for maintaining the mapping declared in the view specification. They prepare an update structure that will be sent to the component at the end of the notification cycle, possibly by a separate thread, if the view server has been initialized in multithread mode.
