Rogue Wave Server/Rogue Wave Views Integration > Server/Views Mapping > Server Data Sources vs. Views Data Sources > Deleting Server Data Sources

Deleting Server Data Sources
When the panel that contains the Server data source is destroyed, that Server data source is also deleted. If the Server data source was connected to an open view, the corresponding representation is closed (if not already closed) without notification and all the Views data sources created by this Server data source will also be destroyed. If the Server data source is destroyed while the application exits, the close transaction will not be acknowledged by the server.
Server Data Sources Used as View Parameters
A Server data source can be specified as a view parameter when an Server/Views dynamic view is opened. If a Server data source is passed to the server, the corresponding representation of the view uses this Server data source and its underlying Views data source model. If no Server data source is supplied, the representation creates the panel that is supposed to contain this Server data source and uses the newly created Server data source.
View parameters and preregistered Server data sources are discussed at length in “View Parameters”. and “Preregistered Server Data Source”..
