With Rogue Wave® Server, each representation is controlled by a view, which provides a two-way interface maintaining consistency between this representation and the server objects.

In this architecture, server objects and views are managed by a view server, whereas the representations are handled by an application component. This makes it possible to keep a clean and stable API between the components and the server, and to distribute them over a network as needed. In this type of architecture, the server object model itself can be distributed and a component connected to a view server can in turn act as a view server for other components.
