There are two main data formats used in the JViews Diagrammer files: XML (for application data and projects) and CSS for Java (for style sheets). JViews Diagrammer can also load application data from JDBC-compliant databases and the Designer can also load application data from flat files (for example, the CSV format).

If you have a custom data model, you should export the data to a project in Java™ code (see Project files) and then load the resulting XML file.
