Rogue Wave JViews Gantt includes a design tool called Designer that can optionally be used to prototype and configure parts of your Gantt chart display at development time. It is a point-and-click editor for defining many aspects of the display without coding.

With Designer for JViews Gantt developers can create project files that define the static configuration and dynamic behavior of the Gantt chart display. Static configuration includes type of Gantt chart, parameters of the time axis and activities, and many more. Dynamic behavior includes visual changes that occur on changes in the data; for example, activity color turns red when the actual duration exceeds the expected duration. The output of the Designer is ultimately loaded by the final application.
