Overview
Rogue Wave® JViews provides technologies to distribute interactive graphic views through standard Web browsers. The distributed graphic views could be simple graphic objects, charts, maps, diagrams, Gantt charts, and telecommunication graphic objects.
JViews Web technologies distribute graphic views using traditional client-server architecture.
The following Web technologies have been used or implemented in JViews.
*Standard Web browsers such Internet Explorer® and Firefox® are used to display the images generated by JViews servlets. JViews Web applications are designed to run without any Web browser plug-ins.
*Standard Java servlets have been used on the server side. JViews has implemented ready to use Java servlets that are able to generate graphic views in terms of images.
*Ajax technology is used to improve the responsiveness when doing interactions with JViews Web applications.
*JavaServer™ Faces (JSF) components have been provided to make JViews Web application development much easier.
