JViews Maps for Defense 8.8 Release Notes

This document describes the main changes that have been made to JViews Maps for Defense since version 8.7.

• Overview of new features:
  • Provides a way to change how APP6a symbol direction arrows rotate.
• New methods:
  • getDirectionRotationSystem(): Returns the rotation system of the direction of movement arrow.
  • setDirectionRotationSystem(int): Changes the rotation system of the direction of movement arrow.


• New fields:
  • DIRECTION_COMPATIBILITY: Constant that defines that the direction arrow should behave the same as for previous versions of JViews Maps.
  • DIRECTION_GEOGRAPHIC: Constant that defines that the direction arrow should use a Geometric system.
  • DIRECTION_TRIGONOMETRIC: Constant that defines that the direction arrow should use a Trigonometric system.
