IBM® DB2® Spatial Extender allows you to store, manage, and analyze spatial data in DB2 Universal Database™. With this capability, you can generate, analyze & exploit spatial information about geographic features, such as the locations of office buildings or the size of a flood zone. DB2 Spatial Extender extends the functions of DB2 Universal Database with a set of advanced spatial data types that represent geometries such as points, lines, and polygons and many functions and features that interoperate with these new data types.

IBM® Informix® Spatial DataBlade™module brings all the significant features and benefits of the IBM Informix Dynamic Server (IDS) to location-based data. The Spatial DataBlade expands the IBM IDS data server to provide SQL-based spatial data types and functions.
