New Ports

The following sections detail the new platforms and databases for DB Link V5.7.

Platforms

For Solaris 11 with Sun Studio 12, the compatibility with existing ports for Solaris 10 with Sun Studio 11 (ultrasparc32_10_11, ultrasprac64_10_11, x86_solaris10_11, x64_solaris10_11) has been verified. The existing ports should be used.

For Windows (7 or 8) with Visual Studio 2012, two new ports are included in the distributions x64_.net2012_11.0 and x86_.net2012_11.0.

Databases

DB Link V5.7 now supports MySQL on Windows, Linux, and Solaris. The driver was developed based on the API from MySQL Connector 6.1.0 and validated against a MySQL V5.6 server.
