A symbol is a combination of primitive graphical components. You can define specific connection points, also known as ports, to which links or symbols can connect. If you do not define any ports in your symbol, the links point towards the center of the symbol.

You create symbols in Symbol Designer with the drawing toolbar. The toolbar contains all the primitive graphical components used in Objective Views. You can select any component for use. Some of the symbols are complex, while other symbols are fairly simple.
