A DBTools.h++ installation consists of the DBTools.h++ core library and one or more DBTools.h++ access libraries. Each DBTools.h++ access library provides access to a specific database API; this architecture is explained in detail in the DBTools.h++ User's Guide and the DBTools.h++ Reference.
The DBTools.h++ access library for Microsoft SQL Server provides access to Microsoft SQL Server versions 6.5 and 7.0, using Microsoft's SQL Server ODBC driver.
Note: The section entitled "Establishing Connectivity" in the DBTools.h++ Build Guide describes important procedures that you must follow before attempting to build a DBTools.h++ application. The discussion in this guide assumes that you have completed the steps outlined in the DBTools.h++ Build Guide.
