Adaptive Threshold Dialog Box (Image Tool)
Performs adaptive thresholding on an array.
3 x 3, 5 x 5, 7 x 7, 9 x 9—The dimensions of the filtering window.
Other—Select this option to enter filtering window dimensions other than those provided. Use the Width and Height sliders or text fields in the upper right portion of the dialog. The filter window dimensions must be less than or equal to the dimensions of the image.
Statistical Measure—Select the statistical function to be computed within the threshold window.
Binary—If selected, binary thresholding is performed.
Set True—The value to which the result is set when the comparison is true. (Default: 255)
Set False—The value to which the result is set when the comparison is false. This setting is used only for binary thresholding (when the Binary option is selected). (Default: 0)
Width, Height—Enter the width and height of the threshold window. These functions are only active when the Other button is selected.
Upper Tolerance—Specify the upper tolerance used for the threshold comparison.
Lower Tolerance—Specify the lower tolerance used for the threshold comparison.
Create New Image—If this option is selected, the processed data is used to create a new image. Enter a suffix for the new image variable name in the text field provided.
Overwrite Image—If this option is selected, the current image is overwritten by the processed data.
Variable Suffix—If the Create New Image option is selected, enter a suffix for the new image variable name. This suffix is added to the original variable name.
OK—Perform the thresholding and exit the dialog box.
Apply—Perform the thresholding, but do not exit the dialog box.
Cancel—Dismiss the dialog box without taking any action.
Help—Display online Help on the dialog box.
