Scale Dialog Box (Image Tool)
Shrink or expand an image.
Columns—Enter the number of pixel columns in the resulting image. (This text field is shown when the Nearest Neighbor or Bilinear Interpolation buttons are selected.)
Rows—Enter the number of pixel rows in the resulting image. (This text field is shown when the Nearest Neighbor or Bilinear Interpolation buttons are selected.)
Column Scale—Enter a scale factor to increase or decrease the size of the image width. (This text field is shown when the Pixel Replication or Pixel Depletion Interpolation buttons are selected.)
Row Scale—Enter a scale factor to increase or decrease the size of the image height. (This text field is shown when the Pixel Replication or Pixel Depletion buttons are selected.)
Preserve Aspect Ratio—When this option is selected, the Columns value you enter is used to determine the Rows value so that the aspect ratio is not distorted. If you enter a Rows value, the Columns value is calculated to preserve the aspect ratio.
Create New Image—Select this to store result in a new image variable.
Overwrite Image—Select this to overwrite current image with the result.
Nearest Neighbor—Use the nearest neighbor interpolation method.
Bilinear—Use the bilinear interpolation method.
Pixel Replication—If selected, increases the size of the image by the Column Scale and Row Scale factors.
Pixel Depletion—If selected, shrinks the image by the Column Scale and Row Scale factors.
Variable Suffix—If the Create New Image option is selected, enter a suffix for the new image variable name. This suffix is added to the original variable name.
OK—Scale the image and exit the dialog box.
Apply—Scale the image, but do not exit the dialog box.
