Starting PV-WAVE
If PV‑WAVE isn’t already installed on your system, install it first. You also need the following options installed in order to run the PV‑WAVE Image Processing Toolkit, PV‑WAVE IMSL Mathematics, PV‑WAVE IMSL Statistics, and of course, the PV‑WAVE Image Processing Toolkit. Once PV‑WAVE and the options are installed, you’re ready to begin.
Starting PV-WAVE Under Windows
From the Start menu under the PV‑WAVE folder, select the PV-WAVE Console shortcut.
When the WAVE> prompt displays inside the PV‑WAVE window, enter PV‑WAVE commands. or initialize the Image Processing Toolkit. Go to the section on Initializing Image Processing Toolkit, and perform the initialization.
Starting PV-WAVE Under UNIX
1. Start PV‑WAVE, by typing the following command at your UNIX system prompt:
wave
The command line prompt, WAVE> appears in the terminal.
When you see this prompt, PV‑WAVE is ready for you to enter commands or initialize the Image Processing Toolkit.
2. Go to the section on Initializing Image Processing Toolkit, and perform the initialization.
