WzImport Overview
The WzImport Tool is used to read your external data files into PV‑WAVE variables on the $MAIN$ program level. Variables read using the WzImport Tool can then be exported to existing VDA Tools. The variables are also placed on the Variable Selection List.

Avoid using the PV‑WAVE DEVICE command at the WAVE> command line when VDA Tools are running.
WzImport Features
The WzImport Tool can accept up to 110 variables from the command line. Additional variables can be added and changed to fit your needs using the Variable Manipulation dialog box from within the WzImport Tool. The WzImport Tool offers many options for importing various data formats for use with the VDA Tools. The data types that can be imported using this VDA Tool are:
*ASCII-CSV (comma-separated values)
*Binary
*Fortran Binary
*XDR Binary
*8 Bit Image
*24 Bit Image

The ASCII-CSV data import performed using the WzImport Tool is limited to column-oriented data (100 columns or less) which are separated with commas or spaces and have no header records included. See the WzPreview Tool for importing ASCII data that doesn’t meet these criteria.

Don’t forget to check the message area at the bottom of the WzImport window. The message area displays helpful information about many tasks.
