KURTOSIS Function (PV-WAVE Extreme Advantage)

Computes the kurtosis of an array.

Usage

result = KURTOSIS(array)

Input Parameters

array—An array of any data type except string.

Returned Value

result—A double array containing the kurtosis of array.

Discussion

Kurtosis is a useful measure for statistical texture analysis. The KURTOSIS function computes the kurtosis of array(k, l) as:

where mean = AVG(array) and std = STDEV(array).
