Merging Dialog Box (Image Tool)
Merges homogeneous regions in an image, where the homogeneity is based on the region average.

Fill Values—An array of values used to fill the regions which were merged, where the values are 0 < Fill_Valuesi < 255. The number of values in the Fill Values list is [1, ..., Max_Regions].
Edit Value—Edit a value selected from the Fill Values list.
Save Num Regions—Select this option to save the number of regions in a variable. Enter the variable in the text field provided.
Create New Image—Select this option to store the result in a new image variable.
Overwrite Image—Select this option to overwrite the original image with the result.
Max Regions—An integer greater than 0 and less than 255, specifying the maximum number of regions for subdividing image.
Threshold—A floating-point scalar threshold value used to determine whether or not a pixel belongs to a given region. (Default: 0.1)
Fill with Region Mean—If set, each region is filled with the mean of the image pixels in the region.
Variable Suffix—If the Save Num Regions option is selected, enter a suffix for the new image variable name. This suffix is added to the original variable name.
Variable Suffix—If the Create New Image option is selected, enter a suffix for the new image variable name. This suffix is added to the original variable name.
OK—Merge regions and exit the dialog box.
Apply—Merge regions, but do not exit the dialog box.
Cancel—Dismiss the dialog box without taking any action.
Help—Display online Help on the dialog box.
