Axis Attributes Dialog Box
This dialog box lets you modify the characteristics of the axes.
Title—Enter a phrase that labels the axis. By default these are the names of the variables being plotted.
Color—Brings up the Axis Color dialog box. Use this dialog box to select a color for the axes in your plot. If you change a color, the change is reflected in corresponding color square in the Axis Attributes dialog box.
Variable—Assigns the axis to a specified variable. If the variable range changes, the axis range will change as well.
Grid Style—Select one of the standard PV-WAVE
linestyles from the option menu.
Font—Select the font to use for the axis labels.
Character Size—Enter the size of text with which the axis title and labels are drawn. A size of 1 is normal. For other sizes, the text is scaled relative to the normal size. For example, a size of 2 produces text twice as large as 1.
Thickness—Enter the linewidth of the line with which the axis is drawn. Linewidth is measured in pixels. A linewidth of 1 produces a line one pixel wide.
Position—Enter the distance, in data coordinates, to position the axis from the left edge (for y-axis) or the bottom edge (for x-axis) of the plot.
Major Ticks—Enter the number of major tick marks along the axis.
Major Tick Length—Enter the length of major tick marks along the axis.
Minor Ticks—Enter the number of minor tick marks between two adjacent major tick marks.
note | You can produce a grid overlaying the plot by specifying long tick lines. |
OK—Apply the new axis attributes, and dismiss the dialog box.
Apply—Apply the new axis attributes but don’t dismiss the dialog box.
Cancel—Dismiss the dialog box without taking any action.
Help—Display online Help on the dialog box.
