Histogram Tool Overview
The Histogram Tool is used to visualize quantitative trends in large amounts of 1D, 2D, or 3D data, or 8-bit multi-layer images. You can create a
histogram for any non-scalar variable of these types:
note | Not all of the data can have the same value. For example, a 2D array of zeroes is unacceptable. Avoid using the PV-WAVE DEVICE command at the WAVE> command line when VDA Tools are running. |
Histogram Tool Features
The Histogram Tool offers options for enhancing the appearance of the histogram.
You can use color to highlight your data.
You can use the VDA Tool’s graphical features allow you to annotate the histogram with lines, ellipses, rectangles, and text.
You can change the range of data in both the X and Y directions.
You can produce either a frequency or a cumulative histogram plot.
