Hit or Miss Dialog Box (Image Tool)
Performs the morphologic
hit-or-miss transform for shape processing.
note | Use the Define Kernel dialog box to define the hit and miss structuring elements. To bring up the Define Kernel dialog box, choose Filter=>Define Kernel. The structuring element (kernel variable) created with the Define Kernel dialog box is automatically displayed in the Structuring Element list box of the Morphological Top Hat dialog box. |
Hit Struct. Element—A 1D or 2D array or
filter object obtained from the Define Kernel dialog box and containing the structuring element to apply to the original (un-complemented) image. The structuring elements are considered to be binary values (either 0 or nonzero), unless the Gray Scale option is specified.
Miss Struct. Element—A 1D or 2D array or
filter object containing the structuring element to apply to the complemented image. The structuring elements are considered to be binary values (either 0 or nonzero), unless the Gray Scale option is specified.
Hit Struct. Values—A 1D or 2D array or
filter object obtained from the Define Kernel dialog box, of the same dimensions and number of elements as the hit structure, containing the hit-structuring element values.
Miss Struct. Values—A 1D or 2D array or
filter object obtained from the Define Kernel dialog box, of the same dimensions and number of elements as the miss structure, containing the miss-structuring element values.
Hit X Origin—The x-coordinate of the hit structure.
Hit Y Origin—The y-coordinate of the hit structure.
Gray Scale—If selected, gray-scale erosion is used rather than binary erosion.
Create New Image—If this option is selected, the processed data is used to create a new image. Enter a suffix for the new image variable name in the text field provided.
Overwrite Image—If this option is selected, the current image is overwritten by the processed data.
Miss X Origin—The x-coordinate of the miss structure.
Miss Y Origin—The y-coordinate of the miss structure.
Variable Suffix—If the Create New Image option is selected, enter a suffix for the new image variable name. This suffix is added to the original variable name.
OK—Perform the closing and exit the dialog box.
Apply—Perform the closing, but do not exit the dialog box.
Cancel—Dismiss the dialog box without taking any action.
Help—Display online Help on the dialog box.
