Setting Up and Saving VDA Tool Defaults
The first step in customizing the Navigator is to set defaults for the VDA Tools you plan to use most often, and save these defaults as templates.
For example, if you work mainly with 8-bit image data, you might do the following:
1. Open the WzImport Tool, and change the File Type from Unknown to 8-bit Image. In the File Name field, enter the pathname of the directory in which your data is stored. Select File=>Save Template As to save these settings in a template file.
2. Open the WzVariable Tool, select Options=>By Type, and deselect all the data types except Byte. Select File=>Save Template As to save these settings in a template file.
3. Open the WzImage Tool, and change its defaults. You can also add graphical elements such as text and graphics. Select File=>Save Template As to save these settings in a template file.
Now you are ready to associate the templates with their corresponding VDA Tools in the Navigator.
note | It is best to associate a template with the type of tool for which the template was created. |
