Selecting Graphics Objects
Before you can cut, copy, paste, delete, group, or change the attributes of a graphics object, you must select it. Graphics objects that you can select include lines, boxes, text, legends, axes, bitmaps, and groups.
Selecting a Single Object
To select a graphics object, do the following:
1. Click
MB1 on the
Object Select button on the
button bar or choose
Edit=>Object Select.
2. To select an object, you can either:
Click MB1 on the object, or
Press MB1 and drag the pointer to draw a rectangle around the object.
note | If you are selecting a rectangular object, such as a box or legend, click inside the object to select it. The selected object becomes highlighted, and tiny “handles” appear at the ends or corners of the object. |
Selecting Multiple Objects
To select more than one object at a time, do the following:
1. Click
MB1 on the
Object Select button on the
button bar or choose
Edit=>Object Select.
2. To select multiple objects, you can either:
Click <Shift>-MB1 on each additional object, or
Press MB1 and drag the pointer to draw a rectangle around all the objects that you want to select.
Choose
Edit=>Select All to select all graphics objects at once.
