PV-WAVE's powerful database connection functions let you import data from an external database into PV-WAVE. If you can access your data source from the computer on which PV-WAVE is running, you can connect to the data source from within PV-WAVE. This eliminates the need to export the data to a file before importing it into PV-WAVE. You can query or update your data source from PV-WAVE using the same Structured Query Language (SQL) commands supported by your local DBMS. You do not need to learn new syntax or complicated function and procedure calls.
