Fixed Format Attributes Dialog Box (WzPreview)
This dialog box is used to set the format for reading fixed format ASCII files.
Format—The format shown in the Format Statement text field is the one that is used when the file is read and PV‑WAVE variables are created.
Auto (Automatically Generated FORTRAN)—Displays the most recent file format used for this file. The Auto format is generated with FORTRAN format specifiers, which are enclosed in parentheses.
FORTRAN or C—Select FORTRAN if you want to edit the Format Statement field when it contains a FORTRAN format string. Select C to enter a C format string in the Format Statement field.
OK—Check the contents of the Format Statement text field for errors or unrecognized characters and then return to the WzPreview Tool. If errors are found, an alert is displayed.
Apply—Apply the format changes without dismissing the dialog box.
Cancel—Dismiss the dialog box without changing any file format information.
Help—Display online Help on the dialog box.
note | The format statement initially displayed by this dialog box can have three possible origins: 1) it may summarize the placement of the fields that you defined interactively, 2) it may result from the last Auto Define that you requested, or 3) it may simply be the last format that you typed into the fields of this dialog box. The data format specifiers that you use in the Format Statement field are the same as those you use when reading data into PV‑WAVE. When using an explicit FORTRAN or C specification, one variable is matched with each format specifier. |
