Installing on Microsoft Windows
The PV-WAVE installer reports the disk space required for each option calculated according to the amount of disk space required for an NTFS formatted disk.

The installation's status bar may not accurately reflect the installation status.
To install PV-WAVE, do the following:
1. Extract the contents of the downloaded ZIP file into a temporary directory.
2. Use Windows Explorer to open the staging directory inside the temporary directory.
3. Execute the setup program, Setup.bat.

When installing PV-WAVE on Windows 7 or later, you must do so from an account with Administrator privileges and start the installation using the Run as Administrator option by right-clicking on the Setup.bat file.
4. Answer the prompts generated by the Setup program.

When installing PV-WAVE on Windows 8.1 or later, you may see the following message:
Windows protected your PC
Windows SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.

To bypass this screen and complete your installation, click on the More info link and choose Run anyway.
Your installation now begins.
DLL Installation
PV-WAVE installs DLLs, which are necessary to run PV-WAVE, through a Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable installation that executes near the end of the PV-WAVE installation. When you uninstall PV-WAVE, the Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable installation is also uninstalled.
