QA user accounts

Hansoft offers a quick and easy way to connect external testers. This is done by creating QA accounts.

QA accounts can:

  • Log in and report bugs
  • Access QA view, Documents, and Chat

Note:  In order for a QA user to be able to access other areas and functions, or to be used in agile or scheduling projects, they must be turned into a normal user. See below for more information on how to do this.

To create QA accounts, you must have administration rights. In the Admin area, click Users, click More, and select New QA account.

You can then add the newly created user to the project:

The external tester can now be used as a user in the QA part of the project:

It is also possible to turn a QA user into a normal user, which gives them access to other areas and functions within Hansoft. To do this, access the Admin area, then click Users, click More, and select Convert QA accounts to full user accounts.
