Open Visual Studio Code and select the View > Extensions from the drop-down menu. This will open the extensions panel. Click “…” (View and More Actions…) and select Install from VSIX.... A file navigation dialog box will appear, navigate to the extension location and select the file with a .VSIX extension. The extension is located under the Perforce QAC installation directory:
<QAC-[VERSION]>\ide_plugins\vs_code
You will need to reload Visual Studio Code for the extension to take effect.
The installed extension will appear within the Visual Studio Code settings, listed as Perforce Static Analysis under the Extensions section. For information on configuring Perforce QAC specific settings, refer to the Perforce QAC manual.
