Installing Validate

Follow the directions in this section to install Validate on Windows or Linux.

Before installing Validate, complete the following:

Download the Validate installer package (for example, p4-validate-installer.25.3.0.65.win64) from the Perforce Customer Support Portal. If you don't have access to the portal, you can register for a new account.
Contact Klocwork Support to obtain a license file. Your IT department may have a remote license server set up for you to use; otherwise, you need to specify a license file in your projects_root/licenses folder.
Validate uses Reprise License Manager from Reprise Software. To learn more, see Get a license and Transition license from FlexLM to Reprise.
