For C and C++ projects, this option operates at the translation unit level, analyzing each file independently for all components in the toolchain. It checks for issues such as correct language use, dataflow and layout. Selecting the option performs a file-based analysis on the whole of the Active Perforce QAC project. If RCMA has been set up in the Common C and C++ Components toolchain, then file-based cross-module analysis will also be run.
A Progress Monitor window is opened that displays the progress of the analysis.
The option to analyze selected C and C++ files and folders can be accessed from the Explorer Context Menu. The option to analyze selected C and C++ files and folders can also be selected from the Files Tab.
