API

The Helix IPLM API is used to automate and integrate Helix IPLM with other systems. IP creation, deletion, query, and cataloging are all supported through the API. The API should be preferred for automation over PiCLI.

The Helix IPLM API is used for automation and integration with other systems. Documentation on the API is available through the 'API Docs' menu item on the dropdown menu associated with the logged in user on IPLM Web in the top banner display.

The Helix IPLM API typically offers improved performance over the same function run in PiCLI, so it should be preferred for automation.
